Acupuncture is an extremely specific, focused therapy – in fact it can be profoundly effective for any condition.

Acupuncture can help with: sinus problems, menopause, digestive issues, allergies, infertility, sport injuries, addiction, anxiety, insomnia, depression, and headaches – to name a few!

The way it works is simple, insertion of metal needles to conduct energy (qi) through the body’s organ energy pathways, to either strengthen an organ which is sluggish, or to slow down an organs energy which is too fast or excessive, when the organs energy systems are running smooth, illness is non existent! This is the balance of yin and yang.

In both Eastern and Western medicine the Anatomy is of course the same, so if I want to strengthen your lungs I would needle the back, at the thoracic vertebrae 3 which actually does innervate the lungs via nerves at T-3 level, so adding a metal needle to conduct qi will strengthen the lungs, breathing will become deeper and stronger for those with asthma or allergies.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Medicine could not be more different. Western medicine is continually changing, but its focus is on the symptoms of illness or disease. TCM has always been the same because the laws of nature never change, and that is what the medicine is based on TCM which treats the whole human, body, spirit and mind.

Acupuncturists belief in healing is in treating the root of the problem and preventing disease.
